NEW YORK — Forest Laboratories Inc. has introduced Lexapro for the treatment of major depression.
The recommended dose of the product, known by its generic name of escitalopram oxalate, is 10 mg. daily, which was comparable in a clinical trial to the titrated dose of Celexa (40 mg.), another anti-depressive medication.
